Celebrating Empowerment and Achievement: Women’s History Month

With a remarkable journey that exemplifies dedication, resilience, and leadership, Amanda has been with Grappone for 25 years. From hands-on experience in every position within the dealership to now steering our vision forward, our story is one of passion and perseverance. From women aspiring to make their mark in the automotive industry, she highlights the dynamic nature of the automotive world, which goes far beyond just selling or servicing vehicles. “Community involvement is as important to us as sales or service or parts, for example. We also need marketing, accounting, banking, and other skills to make the wheels turn here every day.” Her advice sheds light on the opportunities available in the industry, encouraging women to explore various paths and bring their unique talents to the forefront. 

Lynda has been with Grappone Automotive Group for an astounding 38 years. Her journey with us began in a role as a secretary for GTC Leasing (an in-house lease program here at Grappone). Not long after she pursued further education, earning a BS in Accounting, embodying the spirit of lifelong learning and growth. She has had the opportunity to work in many areas of the business to gain a great understanding and advance her career. She now oversees our Accounting, IT, and Marketing departments. 

Michele Lena- Corporate Director of Retail Parts

Michele has dedicated 36 years to Grappone. Having served as the Toyota and Hyundai Parts Manager, Michele’s journey reflects the changing tides in our industry where women’s insights and leadership are increasingly recognized and valued. She views Women’s History Month as a reminder of progress, noting, “ There was a time when women’s opinions did not matter. Over the years, women started standing up, showing they have a voice, and proving that their opinions do matter. Many women throughout history have stood up to be heard, and by doing so, they have helped shape our country.”

Penny Stafford- Corporate Director of Wholesale Parts

Penny first started with Grappone 29 years ago. Her path from Warehouse Supervisor to Assistant Manager, then Parts Manager, and now a Director showcases her resilience and dedication. Her favorite part of her job has always been the people she works with. She really enjoys going out and having the opportunity to connect with our wholesale customers on the road. She believes Women’s History Month celebrates the strides women have made, saying “Being in the automotive industry has been a privilege, especially since it has long been known as a male industry.”
