100 Acts of Kindness: Waypoint SleepOut

James Cortez, our Parts Manager at Grappone Toyota, recently participated in our 100 Acts of Kindness campaign by joining the annual SleepOut event supporting Waypoint.

A Night of Awareness and Action

Waypoint puts on this event to raise awareness and gather essential funds that directly benefit homeless youth in our area. By spending a night outdoors in the difficult conditions often faced by these young individuals, participants like James gain a deeper understanding and bring crucial attention to the challenges of our community members.

James spent March 29th outside, and he shared that, “The weather varies every year when I sleep outside to raise awareness with Waypoint and I remember one year being particularly cold, with high wind and snow. That weather in collaboration with the never ending sounds of the city had me trying to imagine a child or teenager being out there trying to sleep. There’s no way.”
