100 Acts of Kindness Initiative: The Friends Program

As part of our ongoing 100 Acts of Kindness initiative, Grappone Automotive Group is excited to share another inspiring story of community involvement. This time, it’s about Andree Seeley, who dedicated her time and resources to The Friends Program.

About The Friends Program

The Friends Program, located in Concord, NH, serves eight counties across New Hampshire. Focusing on supporting the state’s most vulnerable populations, their work strengthens communities by building positive connections and solutions for at-risk youth, families, and seniors. Their programs include a year-round shelter for homeless families with children, mentoring for at-risk youth, intergenerational classroom support, and a senior volunteer program.

Day of Volunteering & Donation Delivery

“I have a love for anything ‘home’ and had been looking for an organization where I could donate some of my décor and other home items, knowing they would be appreciated and put to good use,” Andree shared. “Cathy, in HR, helped me find the PERFECT place!”

The Friends Program, with its mission to provide shelter and a sense of home to families in need, was the ideal match. Andree’s volunteer work included unloading boxes of donated items, painting a bathroom, and sprucing up some exterior doors.

“In addition to unloading boxes of donations, I spent the day painting a bathroom as well as some exterior doors that needed a little sprucing up,” Andree explained. “My time with the Friends Program will not stop after this one day. I plan to remain connected with the team there and offer any help that I can as needed. Helping others always feels like the best kind of work!”

Reflecting on the Experience

Andree’s experience withThe Friends Program was both fulfilling and inspiring. By dedicating her time and resources, she not only helped improve the living conditions for the families but also contributed to the welcoming atmosphere that the organization strives to create. “It was incredibly rewarding to see the immediate impact of our efforts,” Andree reflected. “Knowing that the families will have a more comfortable and home-like environment makes it all worth it.”
